FANATIC LOVE

I love you most
Just like a fanatic lover.
Whenever I am close to you,
A heart touching smile on you
Makes me so uneasy,
But I can't understand
Where I lose myself.
A strange type of your look
Always makes me nervous;
then, the world seems to be boring except you.
do you ever feel -
how much lovely you are to me?

Heartstrings

woman. But some days before she died . Now he has none to look after him. He hates mankind. I was very for him. I thought why he was carrying the sin of others. May be he would be a top terrorist in future. He would be the only
That day I was going shopping. Suddenly a young boy of ten years stood in front of me . At first he begged for a little money from me. Then I asked him where he lived and why he was doing it without going to school. After listening to me he became angry. Then I made him calm and told him that I wanted to know about him . He did not agree on my proposal . When I was about to go away, he stopped my going. I saw him crying. He told me that he had no parents. Someone had found him by a drain. From then he had been being brought up by the reason of creating problems of many people. Is he guilty for this?

Fun

Twenty years have passed since it happened. Then I was in class six. I used to be very much fond of going to the cinema. It was Friday. I along with my cousin decided to go to Pangsha(sub-district). We started for the place a little time back of the evening. We get used to going from one place to anoth
er by train going through our village. But at that time there was no scheduled train. So we were walking there along the the rail line . We walked much faster. On the way, it started raining . but we did not stop anywhere because there was a little time the show to be started. However we reached the cinema hall at last. Both of us got wet . I wore a new tea shirt that was also wet. I started squeezing water from the shirt, but when I was about to wear it again, I saw it had already been torn. I felt crying. I sat in the hall without any shirt. I was ashamed of my conduct. From then I don't go to the cinema any more.

Real Ghost

One night my mother was cooking cakes named 'Sara Pitha'. It was midnight. There was complete silence all around. Our kitchen was made of straw roof. By the chula-( local name) there was a window. Suddenly there was a loud sound on the roof. After sometime a hand with much white hair was kept in front of my mother through the window. As mother was very much brave, she was not afraid. The ghost was continuously asking for cakes. Mother understood that it was a bad ghost. So she put a cooking tool into the stove. It was speaking through the nose. Mother was waiting for the cooking tool being more hot. At one stage mother kept the cooking tool on its hand and it started shouting loudly. A few minutes later there was no sound. After the night mother saw a black crow lying on the ground in front of the kitchen. Actually, it was a ghost.

Zoo Animals

I came to know through a daily that a male lion died in the Dhaka zoo yesterday just three days after the death of a young giraffe, showing poor care management for the zoo animals. Altogether 20 rare animals died at the in a year. I also learned that the rhinoceros including a tiger, a horse, a samba r and a kudu ( a deer like mammal) are suffering from illness. On the death of such an animal a probe committee is formed to investigate its death. After sometime the investigation does not come to light any more. The committee is given an estimated time period, but the members of the committee does not care it. Six o r seven months back some more animals died in the same way. Such a so-called committee was established then. Did that investigation committee submit its investigated report to the dutiful officials? So far I know it is hardly running. I often visit the zoo because my only three year old daughter is very much fond o f visiting the zoo. So I am very sad- it is natural. The scene I disliked most is a slum behind the zoo. I think the diseases from the pet animals and birds are spreading among the zoo animals. the slum dwellers disturb and scare the animals. For the safety and security of the animals the slum needs to be removed. Because it is not safe for zoo animals. If the only recreation point in Dhaka is destroyed in this way, the children have no scope to be get rid of such a monotonous life any more.

Dolphins

A school of gangetic dolphins have returned to the rivers Turag and Buriganga with the flow of fresh floodwater from the upstream. several dolphins were sighted recently near Shoalmachi in the river Turag and at Jhaochor, a kilometer downstream in the river Buriganga, much to the delight of environmentalists and local boatmen. But the delight is short-lived as the fresh water flow in all the rivers aroud the capital city will soon start to recede and dumping of millions of tonnes of toxic waste into the river water will make it impossible for any aquatic life to survive.
If the escape route towards the freshwater of the rivers Daleshwarei and Meghna is cut off, these aquatic mammals, representing a healthy atmosphere, will face certain death.

Alas! I Am Undone

The stone by the road is losing its actual shape
Why,can anyone illustrate it?
It is melting now and will go on for ever.
But you are not like the stone
You,heartless and a killer.

Have you ever seen a whale save its companion?
I know you are deprived of such a great experience.
The whale is ready to die for its partner
What a love between them!

Do you have any feeling of it?
If you had so,i would be much happier.
I think you are selfish and unsocial,
You don't understand what love is.

Do you know why a river becomes dry?
For lack of love,
Water is that love.
The river will be young again
But I must die from you.

A Helpless Pen Seller Wants Your Sympathy

Kalam means pens in Bengali. In our country, one who earns his livelihood by selling pens is called a pen seller and if she looks a grandfather or grandmother, we call him or her 'Kalam Dadi/Dada.'

Such a kalam dadi we see in our university sell pens. Buying pens from her and writing with them in the examinations many have become judges, barristers, administrators of the state including magistrates, but none looks after her. ‘Dear, will you need pens?’ Using such a polite sentence, she sells pens to the students of different universities and colleges.

Her name has not been described. She is Nasera Begum. At present she is very much ill. The life of ailing Nasera Begum is immersed in danger due to money crisis. Nasera Begum aged 70 has been selling pens in Dhaka University by walking up the whole campus for last twenty years, but she is a graduate also. It is her belief that if the rich including the Prime Minister advance, she can pass her next years without difficulty.

The history of life of self-confident Nasera Begum is surprising. She is a higher educated woman. She lost her husband including her established household during the liberation war. She completed her Honors and Masters in Bengali from Rajshahi University; but it is a matter of sorrow that she had to be a simple pen seller of the most famous university of the country. She has not lost the en kindled consciousness of her fighting dream. She has chosen it as an ideal profession. But the woman is ill enough now. She can not be admitted to any good hospital on account of having no money. Her skin describes that she has been much older. When she sits, her hands and feet shake due to her old age. The doctor has said that she will have to be admitted to hospital as soon as possible; but how? She has no enough money. She still comes to sell pens to campus everyday. After selling the pens, she clear house rent off, buys necessary medicines with how much she earns and starves often. She was asked how many days she wanted to sell pens for. In reply, she told me that she would sell pens as long as she could. She also added with cry that may be she might not sell pens any more. She thinks she will pass away soon.

Nasera Begum was born in the village of Kandivita under Rajshahi division. When she was eight years old, she lost her parents and was brought up by her uncle. From then her struggle of life started, which is still going on. She got scholarship in class five and eight while staying with her uncle. She passed S.S.C from Natore Girls School. Then she was admitted to Nawab Sirajuddaullah College. She passed H.S.C from there. She got a chance to be admitted to Rajshahi University in 1966.From there she took Honors and Masters. She started her professional carrier as the headmaster of a school. She was married to a man named Chan Mia. He was in a bank. He was the branch manager. Her household was going on well.

The liberation war started in 1971.One day he started for office, but never returned home. It was on 5 April, 1971.She had no issues. Losing her husband, she became speechless. Later she did not marry anybody. She was leading her life well. She used to be busy teaching in school all day. In 1983 she joined Khulna Memorial High School as the Headmaster. In 1985 the doctors found that one of the bulbs of her heart was damaged. She left her job in 1987. Then she returned to Dhaka again and joined a kinder-garten school. After that the struggle to live started. In 1989 she started selling pens in Dhaka University,Jahangirnagar University, and many other universities. She was getting old. Besides, her strength was decreasing at an alarming rate.

Now she can't move anywhere like before. So she sells pens only in Dhaka University. But she is still confident. She comes to campus early in the morning to sell pens. Doctors have requested her to take a rest for a long time. Yet she is restless. She does not know what to do in future.

How a child faces social problems due to family unconciousness- some examples.

As a teacher I have been in luck of knowing all types of children more or less closely. So far as I have experience about children, which is dependent on guess, but not scientific.
We know that children grow up in nature. A child takes both qualities of good and bad activities in which family it lives. Some child becomes soft-hearted and some, much more naughty. In this case, that soft-hearted child does not take the qualities of its family if they are bad as well. On the other hand, this concept may not work for the naughty one.
From what I have realized in most of the children I can come to a conclusion that actually they do take the characteristics of their parents. When a child scolds someone senior to it, shows selfishness in its work and tells a lie without feeling any hesitation, I can understand that it learns something at home, which is false to it, notices something bears the signal of selfishness. We have seen a child’s parents deal with its grandparents badly, which is not acceptable to anybody. But the child may also apply that against them in future, which they forget often.

I have also seen such a child as shows the same attitudes to others as its parents do. so far as I know if a child does not learn to maintain discipline, its parents are basically guilty of that. When a baby grows in its mother’s womb, it takes some characteristics of mother and we can see them after its being born. I don’t know if its any scientific explanation in favor of that has been found. Some believe it from the view-point of religion.

A child named Sarfuddin in a country of the continent of Africa, at the time of its remaining in the womb of mother learnt some parts of the holy Quran. Nobody could find out the mystery of such a matter till now. So it is a proof that a child can learn something in its womb.

At the first stage of my writing I told that such an exceptional characteristic might be seen in some child. I am telling again that a child bears the characteristics of only its parents. Recently I have met a man who is very dreadful and can kill anyone easily. On the other hand, his father is a pious man who says his prayers in mosque in time. I have never seen him quarrel with anybody or be involved in any bad activities. So it can be a question how the boy has possessed of such bad character. Can science stand an argument in favor of it?

Last week I read a piece of news in a newspaper that a son of a police officer had wounded his father and his two sisters with a sharp knife. The boy reads in class nine. He was asked by some reporters about the incident and he admitted his guilt without hiding anything. He also said that his father took bribes and was involved in unsocial activities. He was forced to do such a hated work. The teachers of his school couldn’t believe it why a brilliant, gentle student like him committed such a hateful crime. In this case, which type of family environment made him do it? In spite of his father being a hateful person, the boy is not so. Mother of the boy is famous for good behavior in her area.

We know the environment in which man lives, from there he can take both characteristics- bad and good. But man likes to learn something bad. It is a natural attitude of man. When a child begins to grow up, it follows the characteristics of its family and kith and kin. Indeed children like to imitate more than elders. I have a baby girl. When I go out with it, it tries to do what I do. Then I smile at it. My daughter talks to others as I do.

I have one more experience in life about a child. I often saw the child be attentive to its lessons. But she did not make any noise in the classroom. I was more curious to know something about the child. What I knew about her later was very much painful. I heard her parents quarrel with each other at home, which struck her very much. There was no happiness in their conjugal life. When the child has learnt to realize everything, from then she sees her parents do so. At first the child was afraid of them and cried, but now she is far from merry. She doesn’t want to go to school, but she is forced to do it. The evil deeds of her parents are affecting the child more.

We must admit that to grow crops clay is needed. A child is like that. If a child’s mind is hard, it will be impossible to get her back to a normal life. In that case everything may end in smoke.
